Not 100% LEGO. There are unfortunately a few parts in all color of grung that LEGO does make, so we use LEGO as much as we can but then supplement the missing ones with 3rd party pieces. We had to search far and wide to find all colors in all shapes!
We prefer to use the "throat piece" for males and remove it for females, but it's your table so you do you! It is always sold with the throat piece, and we have it pictured both ways so that you can see the difference.
