Rocs aren't born fully grown, and many times a young adventurer will attempt to obtain a Roc egg and raise it so that they will have a massive companion as time progresses. We made a small juvenile Roc - but still large enough to ride on.

In LEGO terms, the eagle is: 18 studs wide with wings fully outstretched. 10 studs head-to-tail. 4+ bricks tall. In scale measurements that would be: 18 foot wingspan, 12.5 feet from head to tail, about 6 feet at the shoulder.
